Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. Her early Broadway performances include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. She was awarded her Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for playing Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with actors, directors and stage and screen for all her life. Ashford's next venture will be a limited edition Hulu series called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show will premiere on the 22nd of November and Ashford will be starring opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford currently works on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. The film is set to be a Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford will return in 2023 and will appear alongside Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform The revival of Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. The production team of Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the director's helm for the production. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is a remake of the story in which Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp were the main characters of the first ever impeachment hearing in America. Ashford appeared for two seasons in the CBS show that was a huge success, B Positive. It was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Also, she has appeared in Broadway with her roles in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original character as Lauren In Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for a Tony Award. She was born and raised in Denver Ashford currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
